Regenerative Therapy: Stem Cells, Exosomes & Wharton's Jelly

One of the most promising frontiers in regenerative medicine — administered by a physician who understands both the science and the responsibility.

Regenerative medicine is changing the way we think about healing, aging, and long-term health. At the center of that shift are umbilical cord blood-derived biologics — therapies that work with the body's own signaling systems to support repair, reduce inflammation, and restore function in ways conventional medicine often cannot.

This is not fringe science. These therapies have been the subject of thousands of peer-reviewed studies and are being investigated at major research institutions worldwide. They also require a physician who stays current on the evidence, understands the regulatory environment, and approaches each patient with the clinical rigor these therapies demand.

That is what we offer at Stone House Wellness & Aesthetics.

This service is launching within the coming months. We are accepting waitlist inquiries now.

What These Therapies Are — And How They Work

The regenerative therapies we offer at Stone House are derived from umbilical cord blood donated by healthy mothers following planned cesarean deliveries — not from embryonic tissue, fetal cells, or any source that raises ethical concern. These are post-birth donations made possible by consenting donors whose babies are born healthy and unaffected. No embryos are used, and no harm comes to mother or child in the donation process.

Umbilical cord blood is one of the richest known sources of growth factors and cytokines — the biological signaling molecules that are the active agents in these therapies. When introduced into damaged or inflamed areas of the body, they bind to cell receptors and initiate the body's own molecular repair pathways — reducing inflammation, clearing cellular debris, promoting new vascular formation, and enhancing the body's natural capacity to heal and regenerate.

It is important to understand that the cells and exosomes themselves are not the therapeutic entity. They are carrier vehicles that deliver these growth factors and cytokines to targeted areas. The body does the healing — these therapies give it the biological signals it needs to do so more effectively.

We offer three distinct but related products depending on your clinical picture and goals:

  • Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells — delivered via IV infusion or direct injection into joints, soft tissue, or muscle

  • Exosomes — nano-sized signaling particles derived from cord blood stem cells, particularly effective for IV infusion applications targeting neurological and cognitive health due to their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier

  • Wharton's Jelly — the collagen and hyaluronic acid-rich substance surrounding the umbilical vein, containing its own population of stem cells and growth factors; primarily used in joint injections for orthopedic and pain management applications

All therapies are used for homologous purposes only — meaning they are applied to support the same biological mechanisms they serve naturally: signaling, inflammation control, and tissue repair.

Areas of Clinical Interest

Depending on your goals and clinical picture, these therapies may be relevant across several areas of health:

  • Joint & Orthopedic Health — intra-articular joint injections, soft tissue applications for tendons and ligaments, and spinal applications for disc-related conditions; Wharton's Jelly products are particularly well-suited here

  • Pain Management — targeting the underlying inflammatory and tissue processes contributing to chronic pain through joint, soft tissue, and IV applications

  • Neurologic & Cognitive Health — exosome-based IV infusions are uniquely positioned for neurological applications given their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, making them a compelling option for patients managing neuroinflammation or investing in long-term cognitive resilience

  • Recovery & Tissue Repair — supporting the body's healing response following injury, surgery, or chronic tissue stress through targeted local or systemic delivery

  • Regenerative Health & Longevity — systemic IV infusion protocols aimed at addressing chronic low-grade inflammation and supporting the body's broader regenerative capacity

Our Approach

We don't offer regenerative therapy as a product off a shelf. Every patient who comes to us for this service begins with a thorough consultation — reviewing their health history, current labs, goals, and whether the existing evidence supports these therapies as an appropriate intervention for their specific situation.

If it's the right fit, we discuss protocol options, walk through what the research does and does not support, and set realistic expectations grounded in science rather than marketing. If it isn't the right fit, we'll tell you that honestly and point you toward what is.

The source, quality, and handling of the products we use matters enormously. We work exclusively with reputable suppliers and maintain rigorous standards for cell viability and safety. This is not an area where corners get cut.

A Note on the Regulatory Landscape

Regenerative cell therapy in the United States exists within a complex and evolving regulatory framework. The FDA has established clear guidelines around the use of cellular therapies, and compliance with those guidelines is non-negotiable at Stone House. We stay current on regulatory developments so that everything we offer is both clinically sound and legally appropriate.

We will always be transparent with you about what the evidence supports, what remains investigational, and what to realistically expect. Informed patients make better decisions — and that's the only kind of patient we want to treat.

Who This May Be For

A regenerative therapy consultation at Stone House may be worth exploring if:

  • You are managing a chronic inflammatory, autoimmune, or pain condition and are looking for approaches that address the underlying biology rather than just the symptoms

  • You have joint pain, tissue damage, or orthopedic concerns that have not responded adequately to conventional treatment

  • You are dealing with cognitive changes, neurological symptoms, or are proactively investing in long-term brain health

  • You are committed to longevity and want to explore cutting-edge, evidence-informed therapies as part of a broader optimization strategy

  • You want to work with a physician who will give you an honest assessment rather than simply sell you a treatment
